Meet Shannon
Shannon Istre is a licensed speech-language pathologist who has been supporting children and their families since 2019. She earned a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University and a master's degree from the University of Louisiana. Shannon is licensed in both IL and LA, and is a certified member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

Shannon's goal is to provide evidence-based services that are play-based, strengths-based, and neurodiversity affirming. She has earned specialized certifications including The Meaningful Speech Course, AAC for Gestalt Language Processors, Learn Play Thrive Approach to Autism, Hanen It Takes Two To Talk, and various other courses specializing in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Shannon is originally from Mount Greenwood and excited to support neighborhood families on their child's journey to communication!
